Bruce Evans-Atkinson, AACI, P.App


Bruce Evans-Atkinson commenced his real estate career in the 1980s, joining BC Assessment upon completion of the Appraisal Institute of Canada - Realty Appraisal at Langara College, British Columbia. He obtained his AACI in 1987 and continued working with BC Assessment for some 30 years. In addition to his AACI, he has professional development training in conflict resolution and negotiation, with the Justice Institute and Royal Roads. Since the 1990s he has managed the valuation and assessment appeal defense of major office properties within the City of Vancouver. Bruce also has varied experience in investment commercial and industrial properties, including development sites, industrial buildings, office buildings and retail complexes. He is qualified as an expert witness and advocate at the Property Assessment Appeal Board.

Bruce joined Burgess Cawley Sullivan and Associates in 2015. He works in both the appraisal and property tax sides of the business. His assignments include the preparation of consulting reports including market analysis and rent reviews. He specializes in property assessment tax advice for many property types through pre-roll consultation and assessment appeals. Bruce has the benefit of experience from both sides of the table, so he knows specifically what information is relevant to the assessors.
